The above photos are taken from the area near the town of El Nido at the northern end of Palawan, one of the largest and most beautiful (although least developed) islands of the Philippines. The scenery consists of large limestone karsts which form the spectacular Bacuit Archipelago of islands with beaches and clear turquoise-blue waters. It is very reminiscent of Halong Bay in Vietnam, but more tropical, and with much less tourists! |

Kawasan falls are a beautiful set of waterfall and crystal clear blue pools, situated on the south west coast of the island of Cebu, about 3 hours drive from Cebu city. If you climb above the main waterfalls, you can reach further pools which are stunning and more isolated. |

Possible activities in the El Nido area include kayaking to other islands to find secluded beaches, scuba diving, snorkelling and visits to lagoons within the limestone islands. |
